Jeri is metro columnist for the News & Record.
He first got intoxicated with books when he started reading mysteries about Encyclopedia Brown as a second-grader. Today, he dives into anything from fiction to nonfiction, classic to contemporary. He’s even got two shelves of books on writing and poetry to The Grateful Dead, Flannery O’Connor and Jimmy Breslin. But he still loves his mysteries. His favorite? James Lee Burke
