Dustin Long covers the NASCAR Nextel Cup series for the News & Record and the papers owned by Landmark, including the Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, VA. and the Roanoke Times of Roanoke, VA. This is his seventh season in this job.
Since graduating from college, he has worked at newspapers in Indiana, Idaho, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia. He's covered most sports, including high schools, college basketball, NHL and NFL. He has covered sports for nearly 20 years.
