New recycling schedule released

GREENSBORO - City residents will see pickup for recycling every two weeks instead of once a week beginning Jan. 28.
The brown recycling container will be picked up every other week, according to city officials. The green trash containers will still be emptied every week.
The change from a weekly collection will allow the recycling program to operate more efficiently, officials said.
The day of collection will remain the same.
The city has released a map online showing which areas of the city will have their recycling containers emptied each week.
