Pair takes cash, gun from convenience store

GREENSBORO — Police are looking for two men who robbed an East Bessemer Avenue convenience store early this morning and got away with cash and a handgun.

Greensboro police said two men with guns entered the Super S Mart at 2612 E. Bessemer Ave. at 12:25 a.m. today. The clerk, police said, said the men stole cash and a handgun, then ran into a nearby wooded area. The clerk, whom police did not identify, was not hurt.

Police described the first suspect as a black man with medium skin tone who was wearing blue jeans, a Chicago White Sox baseball cap and a green, gray and white horizontal striped shirt. The second suspect is a black man with a dark skin tone who was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, jeans and a red or dark-colored baseball cap with a white design. The first man had a pistol, police said and the second man carried a shotgun.
