Billboards to tout school bond packages

GREENSBORO A billboard pitching two construction bond packages for Guilford County Schools will be unveiled Tuesday on West Lee Street, according an advocacy group supporting the two referenda.

The bonds total $457 million, which includes a $45 million bond referendum to rebuild the burned Eastern Guilford High School, and another referendum worth $412 million in bonds to build and renovate numerous other schools.

The billboard unveiling will occur 10 a.m. Tuesday at 1920 West Lee Street during a press conference held by Vote Yes For Kids, the community group supporting the bond packages.
