Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign has opened a field office in Greensboro.
The location is one of 13 across the state, said Craig Schirmer, North Carolina State Director for the campaign.
Others are in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem, Rocky Mount and elsewhere. The Greensboro office is at 500 W. Friendly Ave.; phone: 332-0028.
The campaign also used a conference call with reporters this morning to announce that it is launching "a major statewide television campaign" today.
"It's the first of many we expect in North Carolina," said Robert Gibbs, national communications director for the campaign.
The title of the ad is "Enough" and Gibbs said it will highlight Obama's economic policies.
"We need someone who will finally stand up for the middle class and bring about the change we need in this country," Gibbs said.
