GREENSBORO - A missing 7-month-old has been located and is safe, according to police.
Greensboro police said Brionna Michelle Johnson was abducted late Tuesday night by her father, 30-year-old Quito Lamont Johnson. An Amber Alert had been issued for the girl
Police said they were able to work in cooperation with the Guilford County Department of Social Services to contact Johnson and negotiate the safe return of Brionna at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The child was returned to Social Services by an aunt.
Quito Johnson turned himself in at the Guilford County Sheriff's Department at noon.
He is being charged with assault by strangulation, domestic criminal trespass, violation of a domestic violence protection order, assault on a female, false imprisonment and abduction of a child.
Bond had not been determined.
Police are continuing their investigation and with information is asked to Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
