More coverage: International Civil Rights Center & Museum

About the museum

On Feb. 1, the International Civil Rights Center & Museum opened at 132 S. Elm St. in downtown Greensboro. The museum will focus on the nonviolent protests of the Greensboro sit-ins. The 43,000-square-foot museum is in the former F.W. Woolworth store where four students from N.C. A&T began their protest at the whites-only lunch counter.
