GREENSBORO - The N.C. General Assembly has offered a solution in the legal battle over its controversial redrawing of Guilford County voting districts.

The plan would put all Guilford County commissioners up for election this year and would cut some of them to two- rather than four-year terms until 2014, according to a memo sent late Friday to the Board of Commissioners.

GREENSBORO – Police arrested a Greensboro man today after a woman said he broke into her home early this morning.

Officers responded at 1 a.m. to 2311 Acorn Drive to a home break-in in progress. When they arrived, a woman at the home said she was awakened when a man forced open the front door. The suspect then fled.
