Feb. 5 — John Christopher Shaw Hewett, 25, died after he was shot several times at 1802 Maplewood Lane, Apt. D. Police believe Hewett had been engaged in a struggle with a resident of the apartment.

Feb. 18 — Part-time security guard Winfred Lee Hunt, 54, was fatally shot outside Players Club at 2507 High Point Road after a fight erupted as patrons were leaving. Robert Teon Ingram, 32, of Winston-Salem was arrested Feb. 21 and charged with first-degree murder.

March 10 — Brandon Devon "BG" Graves, 24, was shot once by Guilford County sheriff's deputy Stephen Christman after a one-vehicle crash on N.C. 68 and West Harrell Road in Oak Ridge. The sheriff's office said Graves pointed a gun at paramedics.

April 15 — Trumain Lamont "Tank" Allred, 23, was fatally shot at 506 Andrew St., and a second man was wounded. Police have no motive and no suspects in the slaying.

April 23 — Trevor "T.J." Todd, 20, was fatally shot at Pear and Moody streets after a disturbance at a party. The former Page High School football player attended Johnson & Wales in Charlotte. Police have no suspects in the slaying.

April 26 — Kitrell Vesave Duncan, 33, was shot outside his apartment at 2130-K Everitt St. A 17-year-old neighbor, Michael Funsho Awolowo, was charged the next day with first-degree murder. On May 13, two other people turned themselves in: John Olatunde Awolowo, 24, and Taknia Larnica Ross, 24. John Awolowo, Michael Awolowo's older brother, was charged with first-degree murder. Ross was charged with being an accessory to first-degree murder.

May 3 — The body of Jeremiah Jacob Washington, 25, was found in a field behind 318 W. JJ Drive, next door the Cavalier Inn. Daniel Alston Jr., 20, was charged May 24 in his murder. Police have not said how Washington was killed and have given no motive in his slaying.

May 5 — Jeffrey Sentell Alston, 29, was found slain inside a car at Tuscaloosa and Pearson streets when officers went to investigate a report of gunshots. Police have not said how Alston died.

May 24 — The body of Tereece Anshon Roseboro, 20, was found near Randleman Lake in Randolph County. Her boyfriend, 38-year-old Dwayne Elliott Brown of Greensboro, has been charged in her slaying.

May 27 — Christina Marie Maxa-Gross, 33, fatally shot inside her townhome at 34 Josephine Circle. Police said she was slain by 32-year-old Noah Michael Adams, who later killed himself. Adams had been charged three times previously with assaulting Maxa-Gross.

June 6 — William Levon Kennedy II, 24, of Greensboro was found fatally shot behind the wheel of an SUV at an apartment complex at 5531 Hornaday Road. Daniel Fred Larson II, 24, of Climax surrendered to authorities June 7 and has been charged with first-degree murder.

July 10 —Tyrone Lamont Lott, 35, of Greensboro, was stabbed outside the Cook-Out restaurant at 1041 Summit Ave. Vincent Almont Lamont Ruff, 29, of Greensboro, later turned himself in and was indicted Oct. 3 on a second-degree murder charge.

July 13 — Greensboro police officer Robert Jake Mensel fatally shot 38-year-old Nathaniel James Coe during a traffic stop at N.C. 68 and Pleasant Ridge Road. Police said Coe was a suspect in the robbery of an Oak Ridge convenience store. The SBI is investigating.

July 21 — Three people — Jason Rcom, 6, Hdingh Nie, 23, Joshua Samuel Prago, 43 — were fatally shot in an apartment at 1501 Brandonshire Court, off of West Wendover. Two other people, including the mother of Jason Rcom, were wounded. Hoanh Rcom, 34, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with three counts of first-degree murder. Two days after the shooting, three others were arrested and charged with first-degree murder: Fnu Angu, 27, Ayun Y, 28, and Polly Rcom, 27.

Aug. 4 — Dominique Demmond Menser, 19, was fatally shot behind 810 Rockett St. King Justice Allah Wray, 23, was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with first-degree murder. Police say Menser was shot during a robbery.

Aug. 9 — Debra Ann Harris, 39, was fatally shot at her home at 1320 Flag St. David Jerome Phifer, 27, was arrested Aug. 12 and charged with first-degree murder.

Aug. 22 — Michael L. Banks Jr., 38, was killed in his apartment at 246 Webster Road. Police did not say how he died. A week later, two men were were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Banks' death: Marquis Quinzel Mack, 29, of Greensboro and Jean Joseph Brewster, 31, of Reidsville.

Oct. 11 — Giselle “GG” Fleming, 46, died five days after she was stabbed during an apparent robbery on Oct. 6 at 315 E. McCulloch St. On Oct. 22, Bobbie Allen Richardson, 34, of Greensboro was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Fleming's death..

Oct. 16 — Donovan Ja-twann McCall, 21, of York, S.C.was fatally shot at 824 Circle Drive.Police have no suspects and no motive in his slaying.

Oct. 17 — Lemorris McCollum Jr., 26, was fatally shot outside a convenience store at 2600 Randleman Road. Maurice Antonio Nichols, 30, was charged later in the day with first-degree murder.

Oct. 31 — Ryan Gabriel Siler, 24, was fatally shot outside of Club Drink at 328 S. Tate St. and a second man was wounded. Greensboro police said a fight that started inside the club near UNCG continued outside. On Nov. 7, two men were arrested and charged with first-degree murder: Cordaris Quarmayne Ledbetter, 22, and David Antwane Ledbetter, 20. Police say the two High Point men are cousins.

Nov. 20 — Six people were killed and one other was wounded in a series of shootings throughout Guilford County. Robert Dylan Smith, 18, Hanaleigh Michelle Suttles, 8, Makayla Leigh Woods, 15 and Richard Brian Suttles, 17, were fatally shot at 923 Cocoa Drive. Holder's former boyfriend was wounded at GTCC's Aviation Center on Regional Road. Mary Ann Holder, the shooter, fatally shot her younger son, Zachary Lee Smith, 14, and then killed herself inside her SUV on Remora Road, near her home near Pleasant Garden. Nov. 28 — Daniel Cory Jones, 33, of Greensboro was fatally shot inside an apartment at 2012 Maywood St. Three men have been charged in Jones' murder: Kelly Alonzo Walker, 39, Justin Dupree McMillan, 22, and Fernando Santana, 31.

Dec. 23 — Jerome Alphonso Page, 45, was fatally shot at 2019 Willow Road, Apt. 2H. Police have no suspects in his slaying.

Dec. 24 — Greensboro police found Christopher Brian Mason, 28, shot to death at 300 Charles St. Police were checking on Mason after he didn't show up for his midnight shift at Greensboro College, where he was a part-time security guard. On. Jan. 13, Fredrick Lamar Dee, 28, of Gastonia and Lemiah Wyite Sanders, 18, of Greensboro were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and burglary.

Dec. 31 — Walter Anthony Alston Jr., 26, was found shot to death in the 900 block of Tuscaloosa Street about a block from his home. Eddi Bilal Horton, 20, was arrested and charged Jan. 5 with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
