Police: Man, 102, dies from self-inflicted gunshot

— Police are investigating the death of a man this morning in a home near Lake Jeannette.

It appears that the man, 102, shot his wife, 84, before shooting himself.

At around 7:26 a.m, Greensboro police said officers responded to a 911 call of shots fired at a single-family residence at 5007 Cobbler Ridge Court.

Police discovered Gloria Laurette Larkinsuffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported by EMS to Moses Cone Hospital, where her condition is described as not life-threatening.

Her husband, Theodore Delano Larkin Jr. was also in the home.  He was pronounced dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.

No one else was involved in the incident, and detectives are still investigating it.
