CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- After six hours of deliberations, jurors in the murder trial of a former University of Virginia lacrosse player are asking a second question about their instructions.

Circuit Judge Edward Hogshire said Wednesday that jurors are seeking clarification on what they view as contradictory language regarding one of the charges against George Huguely V. He is accused in the May 2010 death of Yeardley Love.

The jury began deliberations Wednesday on a charge of first-degree murder and five other charges. The 24-year-old Chevy Chase, Md., defendant could be sentenced to life in prison on the most serious counts.

Huguely has pleaded not guilty to charges he fatally beat the suburban Baltimore woman in a drunken rage.

His lawyers have cast her death as a tragic accident.
