— Greensboro police and about 40 ROTC students from Page High School will patrol several local parking lots Saturday.

Police and students will be looking for unlocked vehicles or ones with valuables in plain sight, then will tell drivers how to protect their property.

The patrols will start after 9 a.m. at these parking areas:

• The Food Lion Center at East Market and South English streets

• The Shoppes at Pyramids Village, U.S. 29 and Cone Boulevard

• Church Crossing Shopping Center at Lees Chapel Road and North Church Street

• The Village at North Elm shopping center at Elm Street and Pisgah Church Road

• Student Housing at River Walk on Sullivan Street

• Golden Gate Shopping Center at East Cornwallis Drive and North Church Street

Police did a similar operation in September with N.C. A&T students.
