Mitt Romney is worth upwards of $250 million. Some past presidents who were extremely wealthy could commiserate with “we the people.” Kennedy and Roosevelt come to mind.
Romney hasn’t shown any semblance of that kind of understanding. It’s impossible for average Americans to relate in any way to the life or lifestyle of someone with that wealth. Romney doesn’t think, behave, play, live or dream in the same way that “we the people” do. Romney doesn’t agonize over college tuition, mortgage payments or utility, phone or car payments. Romney doesn’t worry about unemployment, cutting back or doing without. Money plays a vital part in everyone’s life.
You and I cannot begin to comprehend his life — from the time he wakes up in the morning until he retires at night.
Turn this around from the way that we cannot understand him to the way that he cannot understand us.
Now you know why Mitt Romney couldn’t be the president of “we the people.” Vote Obama.
