7 Wendover bridges to be resurfaced

GREENSBORO — The N.C. Department of Transportation said it has awarded contracts for the resurfacing of seven bridges on Wendover Avenue.
The bridges are across Holden Road, West Market Street, Friendly Avenue, the Norfolk Southern railroad, Elm Street, North Buffalo Creek and Yanceyville Street.
Work can start March 1. Completion is set for Nov. 15.
Lanford Brothers Co. of Roanoke, Va., was awarded the $2.2 million contract.
