Regarding the Feb. 2 article, “Police favored safety over force in long standoff”:

The events of Jan. 31 will not soon be forgotten in Lindley Park. On behalf of the Lindley Park Neighborhood Association, we want to thank Chief Ken Miller, the Greensboro Police Department and the other public safety agencies for their quick response, professionalism and bravery.

The situation that day was stressful and frightening for many, and we are relieved and happy that it was resolved in a peaceful manner. We also are glad that our neighbor is getting the help he needs. Greensboro, and Lindley Park, are great places to live!
