Acquaintance charged with killing man in wheelchair

WINSTON-SALEM — A 19-year-old acquaintance was charged with first-degree murder in Friday's death of a man in a wheelchair.
Winston-Salem police said officers went to 3974 Talcott Ave. to check on a person's welfare. Nurses had been making routine visits to Clarence Joseph Hart's home, but he failed to answer the door.
Police found the body of Hart, 36, who had been shot.
On Monday, detectives arrested Madyson Michelle Renegar, 19, of 4017 Fargo Drive in Winston-Salem. Renegar was being held without bond in the Forsyth County jail.
