Robber presents 'threatening' note at Winston-Salem credit union

WINSTON-SALEM - A man robbed a credit union this morning after giving the teller a threatening note demanding money, police said.

Officers were sent to Latina Community Credit Union at 658 Waughtown St. at 9:11 a.m. Friday regarding a bank alarm.

Employees told them a man entered, presented the note and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

He was last seen on foot.

Police described him as black, 40 to 55 years old, 6 feet tall, a very slim build and acne scars on his face.

He was wearing a camouflage jacket, brown knit toboggan and gray sweat pants with a dark stripe down the leg.

Authorities ask those with information to call the Winston-Salem Police Department at 773-7700 or CrimeStoppers at 727-2800.
