— A man wanted by Pennsylvania authorities for allegedly sexually assaulting minors was caught in Burlington this week.

Raymond Brennan, 37, of Bradford County, Pa., was charged by Athens Township Police in Pennsylvania with 20 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, 20 counts of statutory sexual assault, 20 counts of aggravated indecent assault, 20 counts of indecent assault of person less than 16 years of age, 20 counts of sexual assault and 20 counts of corruption of a minor, according to a U.S. Marshals new release.

Pennsylvania State Police charged Brennan with five counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child, five counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and one count of corruption of minors.

Brennan is currently in the Alamance County jail under $1 million bond, according to jail records.

In July, Athens Township Police and Pennsylvania State Police received information that two minors were allegedly sexually assaulted. The assaults began in 2009 and continued for about two years.

In August, Athens Township Police issued warrants against Brennan. In November, Pennsylvania State Police issued additional warrants and the case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Marshals, who are based in Scranton, Pa., conducted interviews and followed several leads indicating that Brennan fled to North Carolina. That information was sent to U.S. Marshals in Greensboro and at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Brennan was arrested in Burlington.

He will be held in Alamance County as a fugitive from justice until he is extradited back to Pennsylvania.
