Price drops in 2012

Here’s something to look forward to this year: lower prices on a variety of items, including iPads and wine.

Deal News has a list of 12 items that should drop in price. That includes the iPad 2 with the expected release of its successor this year.

Wine lovers also can rejoice because pricier wines haven’t been doing so hot in recent years, thanks to a lousy economy.

“So to move stock, retailers are expected to offer more sales and even flash deals on wines,” according to Deal News.

Other items with lower price tags expected this year include e-book readers, laptops and 3-D TVs.

Best cheap wine

Talk of lower wine prices got me thinking: What is the best-tasting wine out there for $5 or less?

Is it Trader Joe’s famous Two Buck Chuck?

Or maybe something at your favorite wine or grocery store?

My wife and I are partial to Harris Teeter’s brand.

Dollar General,Walmart, and Food Lion in Yanceyville, have large eggs for 50 cent and milk for $2.
Nice to see cars from Va., coming this way to spend money, for a change.
Maybe the folks in Raleigh will take notice, and lower gas tax and sales tax. na, just day dreaming.
