Gitanos International Cuisine (297-4009) has opened at 3932-E W. Market St. next to a Verizon shop in a strip center near the intersection of Walker Avenue.
Led by a trio of seasoned chefs, Gitanos offers Latin, Caribbean and Mediterranean influenced-dishes like Argentinean-style Gaucho Steak, Veracruz Grilled Salmon and Walnut Crusted Chicken Breast ($11.99) over cheese ravioli.
Shrimp brocheta and tomato and cheese gratinee tarts are among the small plate offerings. A vegan menu includes soy chicken fajitas, veggie wrap with hummus and cauliflower steak with vegetables and roasted potatoes.
Gitanos is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday.
