The N.C. Dental Society’s Missions of Mercy Free Adult Dental Clinic will return to Rockingham County March 23-24, starting at 6 a.m. each day at Reidsville Christian Church, 2020 South Park Drive, Reidsville.
An estimated 500 to 600 adults will receive free dental care.
To make the clinic possible, the county must raise $30,000 to help offset the cost. About $5,550 in contributions have been received from the following: Ron and Lucy Price; Calvary Baptist Church, Reidsville; Town of Wentworth; Little Bethlehem Christian Church, Eden; Glenn and Jane Martin; Ball Corporation; First Baptist Church, Reidsville; and Bill and Carol Duke.
An additional $7,500 has been pledged by the following: Holy Infant Catholic Church, Annie Penn Hospital, Reidsville Christian Church and Reidsville Area Foundation.

Library bookmobile schedules stops in Jan.
The Rockingham County Public Library’s Bookmobile has scheduled the following stops:
• Jan. 18: 10-10:30 a.m., Friendship House; 11-11:30 a.m., Huntsville Nutrition; 12:30-1:15 p.m., Farrar’s Store; 1:30-3:30 p.m., Bethany Elementary School.
• Jan. 19: 11-11:30 a.m., Madison-Mayodan Recreation; 1:30-2:30 p.m., Scott’s Commons.
• Jan. 23: 9:30-10 a.m., RCC Senior Center; 10:30-11:30 a.m., Presbyterian Hut; 12:30-1:30 p.m., Governmental Center.
• Jan. 24: 12:30-1:30 p.m., Spray United Methodist; 2-3 p.m., Arbor Ridge; 3:30-4:30 p.m., Chadwick Apartments.
Red Cross food pantry accepting donations
The Rockingham County chapter of the American Red Cross, 3692 N.C. 14, Reidsville, runs a food pantry for eligible members of the community.
Nonperishable goods as well as frozen items are accepted. Financial contributions are accepted as well; the funds are used to purchase goods at a reduced price from Second Harvest.
