Man, 65, charged with committing incest with child

GREENSBORO — A 65-year-old man was charged Wednesday with having sex with a 12-year-old relative, according to arrest warrants.
Charges against Garson Turner Pettiford of 1707 St. Charles Lane include incest with a child, first-degree sex offense, taking indecent liberties with a child, second-degree sex offense and second-degree rape.
The crime occurred Dec. 12, the warrants stated.
Pettiford was placed in the Guilford County jail under a $250,000 secured bond.
