RICHMOND, Va. -- Darien Brothers scored a game-high 20 points and Richmond went on a 15-0 run in the second half to beat UNCG 78-58 Friday in nonconference play in the Robbins Center.

The Spiders (9-6) got 17 points from Kendall Anthony off the bench, while 12 of Brothers' points came on four 3-pointers. Richmond led UNCG in virtually every category -- field goal percentage, 3-point percentage, points in the paint and off turnovers, and also bench scoring. Yet the Spartans (2-12) trailed just 38-30 at halftime, then opened the second half on a 12-0 run.

Richmond closed the game on a 23-3 run to seal the victory.

Nick Paulos led UNCG with 12 points. Paulos, a freshman, was 4-of-9 from 3-point range.

Trevis Simpson was the only other Spartan in double figures with 11 points. Aloysius Henry grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds for UNCG.

Darrius Garrett set Richmond's career record for blocks. Garrett blocked six shots, giving him 184 for his career.

The Spartans return to the court Monday when they visit the Miami Hurricanes. Tipoff is 9 p.m.
