Man jailed on $1M bond in bank, store robbery

REIDSVILLE -- Deputies have charged a man in connection with Thursday’s robbery of Stadler’s Grocery.

Victor Withers, 34, was in the Rockingham County Jail on a $1 million bond on armed robbery charges connected to the grocery store robbery and an armed robbery of a BB&T bank in Reidsville, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities accuse Withers of robbing Stadler’s, at 2021 N.C. 14 in Reidsville about 3 a.m. and the bank, at 609 S. Main St., about 3 p.m. Thursday.

He was arrested Thursday night by the Reidsville police, who investigated thebank robbery. Sheriff’s deputies assisted in the arrest.

Withers’ next court date is Dec. 28.
