REIDSVILLE -- A 14-year-old managed to avoid life-threatening injuries earlier today, despite being hit by a car. Reidsville police did not release the teen’s name or that of the driver.
Sgt. Keith Petty said the teen was crossing Vance Street near where it intersects with Lindsey Street about 3:50 p.m. when a Nissan Sentra heading east on Lindsey struck the bike and rider. The teen was taken to Annie Penn Hospital for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing but Petty said witnesses told police the car had the right-of-way.
