Free Artist Talk with Shaun Richards at Green Hill Center Gallery

Tuesday, May 17, 2011
(Updated Friday, May 20 - 4:47 pm)

How does media affects our opinions, actions and identity? This question is of great interest to Shaun Richards and one that is often incorporated into his artwork.

Richards describes his paintings as, “Emblematic constructions that combine collage, stencils, mixed media, and traditional modes of painting.” It is also designed to raise social questions.

Richards graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and completed graduate coursework in Fine Art from the State University of New York-Empire State College.

He will speak about his work at the Green Hill Center Gallery in downtown Greensboro (200 N. Davie St.) on May 18, from 5:30-6:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
