BURLINGTON — A Williams High School coach has been charged with two sex offenses.
Burlington police said Robert Alfonzo Clapp, 45, of 602 Central Ave. was charged Wednesday with statutory sex offense and one count of sexual activity between school personnel and a student. Clapp is being held in the Alamance County jail on a $150,000 bond.
Police said a student reported the incident Wednesday. Police did not identify the victim but said the incident took place at the high school.
The Williams High School athletics boosters website lists Clapp as an assistant football coach.
