Do you work at a great company?

Is it one of the best in the Triad?

Tell us so that we can tell everyone.

The News & Record and its research partner, Workplace Dynamics, are taking nominations for the region’s top places to work.

This fall, we will publish a section — the Triad’s Top Places to Work 2011 — highlighting companies that excel at creating a dynamic, supportive and inclusive workplace.

Here’s how it works:

• Any organization — public, private, nonprofit and government — with at least 50 employees in the Triad is eligible.

• Anyone may make nominations by contacting Workplace Dynamics at www.news-record.com/topworkplaces or 740-9339. The deadline is March 31. It may seem like it is far off, but don’t procrastinate.

• Companies will be surveyed from late March to early May. Employees will evaluate their workplace in a short survey.

• There is no fee, and every organization will receive feedback on its workplace.

I’m betting that the Triad is home to a lot of exceptional companies. Help us identify them so that we can tell everyone.

We all know it isn't Dell... Perhaps another big business can come in and swindle the city?
All NC needs to do is cut corporate taxes by 50% and it would end up doubling revenues. Companies would swarm the state if we had low taxes but nooooo........ Here's the thing folks, companies don't pay taxes - their consumers pay them for us. Meanwhile, we are sending billions upon billions to China only to have them loan it back to us with strings attached. How long do you think it will be until the Chinese call in it's loans -OR- just decide to swing on by and take what it wants? After all, if you miss enough payments on you house the banks takes it from you. Guess what, China owns the note on our house.

More than 50 employees? Yikes.

How about 5? Fifty is way too many.

It would probably be hard to get a meaningful sample of responses from a company with only 5 employees.
