Foothills Brewing has acquired the beer division of Mooresville's Carolina Beer & Beverage.
According to a release from Foothills Brewing, the acquisition includes Carolina Beer & Beverage's equipment, trademarks and brands. Among the dozen beer brands acquired by Foothills Brewing are the popular Carolina Blonde and Cottonwood Ales lines.
Besides the selling of the brewing equipment and beer brands to Foothills Brewing, all other ownership and operational aspects of Carolina Beer & Beverage will remain unchanged. There will be no loss of jobs at Carolina Beer & Beverage and Foothills Brewing will continue to produce all brands currently offered by Carolina Beer Company.
Foothills Brewing currently distributes to more than 300 restaurants and other venues in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
