GREENSBORO – Five Page High School students were arrested after they attacked another student inside a restroom last week, police said.

Greensboro police Lt. Hope Newkirk said the assault happened after school Wednesday in a boys’ restroom at the school at 201 Alma Pinnix Drive.

A student was assaulted and suffered numerous injuries, Newkirk said. She was unsure whether the injuries required hospitalization.

After an investigation, police identified the suspects as 16-year-olds Bronte Whitaker, Nathanael Tutt, Bernard Richmond and Zan’Dir Baker.

A fifth student also was charged, but his name was not released because he is a juvenile.

Whitaker was charged with assault inflicting serious injury and disorderly conduct.

Tutt, Richmond and Baker were charged with assault inflicting serious injury.

Newkirk said there is no indication that the incident was gang-related.

None of the suspects was listed as being in the Guilford County jail Monday afternoon.

Page High parents were notified about the incident last week in a reverse phone message.
