Asheboro resident named president of Pfeiffer University

Michael C. Miller, an Asheboro resident and former CEO of CommunityOne Bank, has been named president of Pfeiffer University.
Miller, 59, will officially begin the job Dec. 1, according to a news release.
Miller, a longtime banker, also has served as chairman of the N.C. Bankers Association, dean of the N.C. School of Banking and director of the Charlotte branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors and the Corporate Relations Committee for UNCG.
