GREENSBORO — Police have made more charges against six men in connection with two shootings involving members of the SUR13 and MS13 gangs.
On Oct. 10, somebody shot into a home at 1321 Woodside Drive. Several hours later, another shooting into a home occurred at 724 Creekridge Road, Lot 194.
Police believe the shootings were connected by members of the two gangs and part of an ongoing disagreement, according to a news release.
On Oct. 14, police charged four people in the shooting at 724 Creekridge Road and seized a gun. Those arrested were: David Rodriguez, 19, of 2300 Summit Ave.; Carlos Jose Gonzales-Blanco, 20, of 4103 Ransom Road; Juan Garcia-Sosa, 16, of 1312 Woodside Drive; and Ian Alexander Gant, 18, of 2905 Fairfield Ave. The four are charged with attempted murder.
On Thursday, each of these four men who were already in jail received an additional charge of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle.
On Oct. 15, police charged two people in the shooting at 1321 Woodside Drive. Jonathan Artero Villamil, 16, of 724 Creek Ridge Road, and Jose Balatazar Garcia-Lesso of 1300 Juniper St., are both charged with attempted murder.
On Thursday, Villamil and Garcia-Lesso each were charged with one count of discharging a weapon into a dwelling or moving vehicle and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
