Gas prices up almost 9 cents in Triad

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline has risen nearly 9 cents in the past week in the Triad, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.

The average price today is $2.702, up from $2.615 a week ago.

One month ago the average price was $2.566. Last year this time it was $2.349.

Maybe it had a lot to do with the A&T and Wake Forest homecomings.... a lot of people from out of town came to the Triad last week.

I'm sure it has something to do with the BP oil spill, or maybe we can blame it on George W. Bush, the mean Republicans or all the rich people. I say we tax all of these devils and and give the money to all of the deserving poor people. Or maybe give the money to all the folks on Social Security who are always telling us they're on "a fixed income". BTW I hearing they (folks on S. S) won't be getting a cost of living increase next year. I'm so glad we have the Democrats in charge at the White House and controlling the Congress too. Happy days are here again.

Back to the gas thing here, I wonder what about printing all that money will have to do with the cost....hmmm
and what about Obama's highway tax?
