Deputies seek suspect in home break-ins, car theft

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect involved in three home break-ins and one car theft in Summerfield Thursday. The crimes occurred in the Henson Forest area on Deboe Road.

Ernest Cook III, 24, of 5796 Boulder Drive in Archdale is wanted on charges of breaking and entering, larceny and vehicle theft.

Cook is suspected of committing crimes in Northwest Guilford County, Rockingham County, Greensboro, High Point and Archdale. He has a long history of committing break-ins, but no violent history, deputies said.

The suspect was last seen driving a stolen gray, Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The N.C. license plate number is YNH-8329.

Cook is described as a white man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff's office at 641-3355.
