Update: Police identify body found in Bingham Park

GREENSBORO — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Thursday at Bingham Park.
On Friday, Greensboro police identified the victim as 26-year-old Raymond Markey Whitsett. He lived in Kernersville.
Investigators said they found evidence of trauma but have not determined how Whitsett died. An autopsy was performed Friday.
A passerby found his body lying on the baseball field Thursday, Capt. Janice Rogers said. He could have been killed Wednesday evening, hours before officers responded to the park at Bingham and Spencer streets at 11:10 a.m. Thursday.
