Why the Grasshoppers lost: Hoppers starter Edgar Olmos gave up six runs on nine hits and three walks in 3-2/3 innings, and Greensboro was only able to muster five singles. With Lakewood beating Augusta 14-2, the Hoppers were eliminated from the Northern Division playoff race.

Performances worth noting: LF Christian Yelich, making his Hoppers debut, went 2-for-3.

Also worth noting: The Hoppers play their final regular-season home game at 7 p.m. today against Savannah.

Up next: Savannah at Greensboro, 7 p.m. today; the game is the Grasshoppers' final home game of the 2010 season.
