Eden man's death investigated in Va.
RIDGEWAY, Va. — The Henry County Sheriff's Office has arrested a person of interest in the Saturday shooting of an Eden man.
Kenneth Wayne Booth, 51, of Eden was found unresponsive and lying next to the driveway at 143 Meeks Road in Ridgeway about 8 p.m Saturday. The sheriff's office determined that Booth was shot and is treating the incident as a homicide.
The sheriff's office executed a search warrant on the address and issued arrest warrents for resident Mark Anthony Vernon, 45, who is wanted for possession of stolen property and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
Vernon was arrested today off Old Leaksville Road in Ridgeway. He has not been charged in the homicide.
