Reidsville man charged with fondling teen
A Reidsville man has been charged with fondling a 14-year-old girl in the Stoneville area.
Phillip Madison, 49, of 200 Badger Road is charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. He was held on a $20,000 bond.
On a Saturday afternoon in July – authorities did not state a specific date – the girl was riding in the front passenger seat in a car with Madison. He also drives a church bus and was in the community “confirming” passengers for the upcoming Sunday services, according to the news release.
Madison is accused of placing his hand inside the girl’s clothing and fondling her. The incident was reported to authorities on July 14.
