GREENSBORO — A 17-year-old girl sitting on a couch in her home was shot in the arm early Wednesday morning by someone outside, police said.
About 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Greensboro police officers responded to a report of gunshots heard at 3700 Flint St., according to a news release.
Lolitta Cherry was sitting on a couch when someone outside fired a weapon.
The rounds went through the outer wall of the house, striking her in the arm, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw the suspect heading on foot toward Berryman Street.
Cherry was treated at Moses Cone Hospital.
Police ask those with information to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
