GREENSBORO — A Hillsborough man who died after being shot early Saturday as he was driving in Greensboro was trying to maneuver around a crowd, police said today .
LaKendrick Lamont Watts, 33, was driving in the 2500 block of High Point Road about 4:20 a.m. when he was trying to maneuver his vehicle through a parking lot and large crowd, according to police.
Someone then shot inside his vehicle. The vehicle then crashed at High Point Road and Ellington Street. Watts was transported to Moses Cone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation continues, and police have not reported any arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 373-2255 or Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.
