Beautiful weather and good play made for a wonderful first day. The stadium is in great shape with a good variety of hi-cal foods and sugar-based drinks. The day was additionally graced with an occasionally sighted eagle or very large hawk that was soaring the thermals looking for prey, a counterpart to the many contrails that high altitude passenger jets left in the sky. Congratulations to the winners and to all the players, coaches, and fans for the good sportsmanship they exhibited. Now if the pitchers and batters could just leave off some of the fussing about so that we could get home before midnight!
