More than 200 area youths and their families attended the third annual Youth Conservation Education Day at Northeast Park in Gibsonville on May 15.

Eight stations provided the group with hands-on lessons in boating, archery, riflery, wildlife and more.

A wild-game lunch featuring wild boar, venison, and turkey was provided.

The Aquatic Center is already open on weekends. The pool is open weekends through June 6, and it will open seven days a week beginning June 12.

Season pool passes are still available for $175 for a family of four and $85 for an adult.

The Aquatic Center is available for private parties after the pool closes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Group swim lessons will be held from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The cost is $35 per week.

Private swim lessons are scheduled from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday. The cost is $50 per week. Call 375-7722 to register.
