EDEN — Eight teenagers and one adult were charged in connection with an after-prom party on Saturday that involved underage drinking.
The N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement Division received a complaint from the Highway Patrol of a possible underage drinking party taking place after the Morehead High School prom at the Eden home of Ronald Brandon Evans.
According to the Highway Patrol, 50 to 100 people attended the party but roughly 25 people were there when law enforcement officials arrived.
ALE agents charged Evans, of 598 Yount Road, with eight counts of aiding and abetting the possession of malt beverages and spirituous liquor by persons under age 21, a misdemeanor.
The following teenagers, ranging in age from 17 to 19, were charged with possession of alcohol:
* Joshua Brandon Hart, of 111 Wilson St. in Eden
* Katie Lin Jernigan, of 162 Garden Lake Trail in Reidsville
* Dylan Mathis Morgan, of 137 Glenmoor Drive in Eden
* Brittany Shea Toney, of 375 N.C. 700 in Eden
* Krystal Blaire Wood, of 2387 Cox Road in Ridgeway, Va.
* Morgan Lisette Priest, of 2117 Bethlehem Church Road in Reidsville
* Stephen Drake Wilson, of 227 N.C. Hwy 700 in Eden
* Daniel Scott Evans, of 598 Yount Road in Eden
