Division III Championship contenders

Guilford College

Peter Latimer: The senior (Markinch Fife, Scotland) finished second in the 2010 ODAC tournament and was named to the all-tournament team. He's ranked No. 1 in the nation among Division III golfers and has a 72.5 stroke average.

Brian Creghan: Also a senior (Radnor, Pa.), Creghan received Guilford's 2009-10 Jack Jensen Ideal Student-Athlete Award and was sixth in the ODAC. Ranked No. 70 nationally.

Noah Ratner: As a freshman (Asheville), he had the second-lowest scoring average on the team, 74.78, and is ranked 43rd nationally.

J.T. Thomas: Finished the season 17th among ODAC scoring leaders. Thomas is a Raleigh Broughton graduate.

Dusty Roberts: Tied for 12th in the ODAC tournament with Creghan. Roberts graduated from Rockingham County High School.

Greensboro College

Brock Elder: Ranked 10th nationally and leads the team with a 74.2 stroke average. Named to the USA South first team. Attended Vandalia Christian in Greensboro.

Ben Nihart: The top finisher, in seventh, for Greensboro in the USA South championship. Nihart, from Winston-Salem, is ranked No. 11 nationally.

Josh Nichols: Tied for eighth in the USA South championship and is 57th nationally. Conference rookie of the year. A sophomore (West Forsyth) playing his first season of college golf.

Connor Kennedy: Finished 17th in the USA South championship and in 2008-09 was second-team all-conference. Graduated from Jordan-Matthews High School in Siler City.

Clint Dillon: The only freshman (McMichael High School graduate) on the starting five, he worked into his role midway through the season and is ranked 140th in the nation.
