Rockingham issues deadline for school transfer applications

Parents of Rockingham County students who attend or want to attend a public school outside their district have until May 3 to apply, the school system announced Wednesday.
Parents and guardians can pick up applications at all Rockingham County School sites starting April 6. People who submit an application after May 3 will be placed on a waiting list.
Residents who apply by the deadline should get an assignment letter from the district by the end of the school year. Late applicants will be notified in September.
