— Noah Dahlman scored 13 points to lead a balanced attack as Wofford beat UNCG 59-47 in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference tournament on Saturday.

Jamar Diggs and Junior Salters added 12 points apiece, and Brad Loesing scored 10 as the Terriers (24-8) won their 11th straight game. They have won 17 of their past 18.

Ben Stywall led the Spartans (8-23) with 18 points and 11 rebounds to break the UNCG single-season mark for double-doubles held by Kyle Hines. Stywall became the first player to average a double-double in school history, finishing the season at 14.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. He is the first player to do so in the SoCon since VMI's Eric Mann in 2000-01.

The Spartans held a 36-26 rebound edge, but shot just 32.7 percent from the field. Wofford shot 51.2 percent from the field.

The Terriers led 28-22 at halftime, then scored the first nine points of the second half to push the lead to 15. They went on to lead by as many as 16 and maintained a double-digit lead most of the rest of the way.

With 3 minutes to go, UNCG got to within seven and had the ball. But Brandon Evans missed a runner in the lane. Salters got a put-back on the other end to extend Wofford's lead to 54-45.

UNCG went nearly 6 minutes without a field goal in the first half as Wofford scored 11 straight points to begin a 16-2 run and open a 25-14 advantage with 7 minutes remaining before the intermission.

Wofford will face Western Carolina in today's semifinals.
