LIFE

This weekend has sweet offerings

Thursday, February 11, 2010
(Updated 3:00 am)

If the forecast holds true, the sun will shine all weekend. The weather will still be cold, but at least we will be able to get out of the house and attend some special events planned in our county.

Today at the Front Porch in Eden, start the weekend early with your Valentine as you sample wines and food from Red River Grill.

In Reidsville, Chinqua Penn Plantation & Vineyards is hosting its annual Valentine’s Chocolates and Wine tasting experience.

Taste some reds as you pair them with an array of chocolates.

The Madison-Mayodan Rotary Club Tasting Extravaganza takes place Saturday at Deep Springs Country Club. The event features an assortment of treats, spirits, wines and homemade chocolates. Enjoy an evening of music, food, beverages and a silent auction to benefit the Madison Rockingham Rescue Squad.

Gather up your Valentine to attend the events.
