MEBANE — Two people were killed when two vehicles collided early this morning on Interstate 40/85 in eastern Alamance County.
The Highway Patrol said a Honda Civic with four people inside was going westbound on I-40/85 when it stopped on the highway. At 7:49 a.m., the disabled car was hit from behind by a Ford Explorer.
There was no immediate word on the identities of the victims or the conditions of any other injured people.
The Highway Patrol said the crash occurred in the second of four lanes near Exit 153, which leads to N.C. 119.
