During the recent ice/snow storm my neighbor John cleared off my steps and front walk. Since I have to take my dog out, it was most helpful as it was most precarious prior to the shoveling.
He also offered to get groceries for me.
In addition, the newspaper carrier, Rick Johnson of Climax, has managed to get through and faithfully delivered the paper.
My neighbor Michelle offered to have her son take my trash container to the street.
I am grateful to have neighbors and a carrier who are caring.

I have a neighbor who goes far beyond the call of duty. She will drop whatever she is doing to lend a helping hand.
When my dear mother passed away in July, who was there but my dear friend and neighbor Connie Bowman and her friend and mine, Teresa Morris.
I didn’t have to worry about a thing when the girls came over to help us at our time of sorrow. I will always be grateful for dear friends such as Connie, who comes to my rescue no matter what.
